Antonio studied coffee growing and processing as well as learning through experimentation. From the outset, Antonio’s vision was to create high quality coffee production that was sustainable and environmentally friendly. Becoming one of the first producers in the region to be producing naturally processed coffees -a rarity in this part of Honduras - that would also not interfere with the region’s water supply.
A professor at institute in Marcala called “21 de Octubre” where he teaches coffee growing was how Antonio met Edgar from Pacayal - with whom Bailies have had a partnership for several years. Edgar was was impressed with Antonio’s coffee and thought we here at Bailies would also love it. Antonio is also a judge of local coffee quality competition in Marcala - one of the most reputable competitions in Honduras.
