This lot is from farm Tejao in La Cañada, located in the south western state of Oaxaca, which is renowned for its coffee. The region benefits from an incredibly diverse climate, receiving currents from both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. These unique conditions allow for particularly fertile soil which is ideal for not only coffee growing but mango, melon and avocado. Tejao means 12 in the indigenous language of Mazateco, which symbolises the first 12 families that settled in the area.
