In September 2021, in-person coffee events were finally welcomed back into our calendars and with that came the joy of welcoming back to Belfast the NI AeroPress Championships hosted in Black Box.
Alice Parsons, Bailies Engineer won the NI AeroPress Championships 2021 and went on to compete via a surrogate brewer at the World Championships hosted in Melbourne Australia. Alice sat down with us, and brewed up some coffees whilst chatting through what it was like to go from first time competitor to finalist in a World competition.
Trade shows are a part of life here at Bailies Coffee - its great for us to spread the word, and more importantly spread the taste of our coffees to people who may not have tried them. We recently attended Food & Bev in Dublin, which was also the host of the 2016 Brewers Cup and Barista Championship. This year we had 2 of our own staff taking part in the Brewers section - Jonathan Parks and Stephen Houston. They were getting in some pre-competition practice on our stand in the image below. There was stiff competition from former winners, but everyone enjoyed the day, the brewing, and the coffee. Our guys were brewing with a very special Panama geisha...
We like to excel at Bailies Coffee, and pride ourselves on the coffee we produce day in day out for our customers. So we are always pleased when our coffee gets recognised for its merits with others. At the recent Great Taste Awards 2014 we again took home several stars, another 5 to be exact, which takes our staggering total of gold stars from the great taste awards to 32!!
A few of the gang couldn't help but celebrate in the roastery, and why not. It feels good to win.
We would also like to congratulate all the other local artisan Food NI companies who bagged awards #supportlocal #betterfresher
If your going to The Dublin Coffee & Tea Festival this year make sure to say hello at our pop up coffee bar where we will be serving up our award winning freshly roasted espresso.
We have also taken a smaller stand in The Roasters Village. Here we will cup some of the most beautiful single estate coffees the world has to offer!
Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from the Dublin Coffee & Tea Festival Website: https://ti.to/dublincoffeefestival/2014
