POST: Production Roaster
HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week
BASE: Bailies Coffee Roastery, Belfast
REPORTS TO: Roastery Supervisor
Salary: Salary negotiable subject to experience
Closing Date: 16th January 2026 @ 5.00pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with unloading of arrival coffee containers, including performing quality checks and safely storing coffee within the warehouse
- Prepare green coffee for roasting, including loading coffees into silos and weighing out batches
- Assist with stock management, i.e. monitoring of green coffee stock, participating in regular stock takes, etc
- Carry out production roasting of coffees to meet production demands
- Collect, test and log roasted QC data on all roasted batches
- Carry out required cleaning of roasting equipment and production space
- Carry out required maintenance of roasting equipment
- Sample roast coffees when required
- Participate in regular coffee cuppings to evaluate coffee quality
- Assist with pallet preparation for shipment

Essential Criteria:
- 2 years of experience in the coffee industry
- Communication/Organisational skills
- Basic excel proficiency
Desirable Criteria:
- Forklift license
- Experience in a production environment
