SCA Barista Skills - Foundation
Thank you for your recent course purchase here at Bailies Coffee Academy.
Below is the schedule for the two days.
(Day 1) – Live Online Teaching Session 10:00 – 12:00
(Day 2) – Practical Skills Training @ Bailies Coffee Roasters 10:00 – 14:00
Day 1: During day one we will learn about where coffee comes from and what impacts the flavours in our cup, a virtual run through of our coffee equipment and a discussion of the key steps that are needed to create good coffee.
We will be using the team’s platform to create an online meeting for our class, this will be sent separately, and we will also send out a reminder a few days before. This will appear as a calendar day/meeting, and you will be asked to wait in a virtual waiting room until everyone has logged on.
Day 2: Day two is based in our training academy here at Bailies Coffee Roasters. During day two we cover all our practical skills for creating excellent quality coffee, getting familiar with our grinder, what makes great espresso and how to steam, textured, silky milk. Light snack and refreshments will be provided on day two, but if you have any allergies, please, let me know.
Exam: If you are sitting the exam for SCA accreditation, please follow the link to the create your learner ID. This allows us to create your written exam and issues you your certificate upon completion. https://scae.com/registration
