For over 90 years, the Holguin family have been involved in agricultural sector in Colombia. Their approach has always been centred around appreciating the richness and generosity of the natural environment around them.
In 2010, the family embarked on a larger project and dream of planting coffee trees and repurposing land that was originally fated to be home to pasture and brush. Since implementing their dreams of coffee production, the family have invested time and resources into becoming one of the most well-known and celebrated producers in Colombia- with much success arising from their diversification in growing and processing exciting varieties and unusual species.
This Geisha Microlot emphasises Inmaculada Farms’ excellence in producing exceptional coffees of unique variety and processing methods. We’re proud to be able to roast and represent such incredible producers such as the Holguin family at Inmaculada here at Bailies and to share their coffees with you.
Process
As with many of their coffees in their Fellows Exotics and Fellows Farms programmes, this coffee has undergone a natural processing method to standardise the coffee profile before being dried using a parabolic natural drying process for around 18 days using the farm’s greenhouses to take advantage of sunlight.
