Ethiopia Rumudamo Washed Microlot
This Microlot comes from the Rumudamo station named after the small woreda (district) in Arbegona, an area in the Sidama region of Ethiopia. At an altitude of around 2,200m above sea level it is amongst the highest coffee-growing area in the country. Coffee from Rumadamo placed 2nd and 3rd in the Presidential Award in the Ethiopia Cup of Excellence competition in 2020.
This coffee comes from small plots in the highland area of Arbegona which benefits from the very high altitude of 2200masl. The Rumudamo station currently works with 600 farmers who provide coffees for Daye Bensa. The station also farms other highland coffee varieties on 840 hectares of land and annually harvests 350,000 kilograms of coffee, which is processed mostly into washed and in a lesser amount, into natural coffee.
