Kenya Mchana Natural
Kenya Mchana Natural
Introducing our Fresh Roast March Release: Kenya Mchana Natural. Grown high in the red volcanic soils of Kiambu County at up to 2,550m, this coffee delivers much of what is praised about traditional Kenyan coffees: clear acidity and berry notes, with the additional punchier fruit notes and subtle funkiness of a well executed natural.
Grown at the historic Mchana Estate in Kiambu County, Kenya, one of the largest and most established coffee estates under Kofinaf Company Ltd. The farm sits 35 km north of Nairobi at an impressive 1,800–2,550 metres above sea level.
The topography, altitude and weather in this region benefits coffee growing, with such conditions shaping the coffee’s clear acidity, refined sweetness, and complex fruit character.
The estate is UTZ, Rainforest Alliance, and 4C certified, with strong commitments to worker welfare, biodiversity protection, and sustainable farming.
Expect an aroma of dried figs, followed by vibrant flavours of cherry, apple syrup, and persimmon. Its medium–high sweet acidity and medium body make it an expressive, complex cup with subtle funkiness that’s a welcome surprise.
